Hilel, o Ancião, é o nome pelo qual é conhecido um célebre líder cabalista, que viveu durante o reinado de Herodes, o Grande na época do Segundo Templo. Estudioso respeitado em seu tempo, Hilel é associado a diversos ensinamentos da Mishná e do Talmud, tendo fundado uma escola para ensino de mestres.
