George Walker Bush é um político estadunidense, tendo sido o 43.º presidente dos Estados Unidos, de 2001 a 2009 e o 46.º governador do Texas, de 1995 a 2000.

George é o filho mais velho de George H. W. Bush e Barbara Bush, fazendo-o um dos apenas dois presidentes norte-americanos a serem filhos de um presidente anterior. Após graduar-se pela Universidade Yale em 1968, e a Harvard Business School em 1975, Bush trabalhou na empresa de petróleo de sua família. Casou-se com Laura Welch em 1977 e, sem sucesso, candidatou-se para a Câmara dos Representantes logo em seguida. Ele depois co-possuiu o time de beisebol Texas Rangers, após derrotar Ann Richards nas eleições governamentais do Texas de 1994. Em uma eleição fechada e controversa, Bush foi eleito Presidente em 2000 como o candidato republicano, recebendo uma maioridade dos votos eleitorais, porém perdeu nos votos populares para o então-Vice Presidente Al Gore.

Depois de oito meses de Bush iniciar o seu primeiro mandato como presidente, os ataques terroristas de 11 de setembro de 2001 ocorreram. Em resposta, Bush anunciou uma guerra global contra o terrorismo, ordenou uma invasão ao Afeganistão no mesmo ano, e uma invasão ao Iraque em 2003. Ele é atualmente um orador público e autor de um livro que fala sobre sua vida e sobre sua presidência, intitulado Decision Points.
