Vandana Shiva : nascida em 5 de novembro de 1952 é uma estudiosa indiana, física, ecofeminista e ativista ambiental e anti-globalização.

Ela é uma das líderes e membro da diretoria do Fórum Internacional sobre Globalização. É uma figura do movimento de solidariedade global conhecido como o movimento alter-globalização. Tem defendido a sabedoria de muitas práticas tradicionais, como é evidente a partir de sua entrevista no livro Vedic Ecology que se baseia na herança védica da Índia. É membro do comitê científico da Fundação IDEAS, grupo de reflexão do Partido Socialista espanhol. Também é membro da Organização Internacional para uma Sociedade Participativa. Recebeu o Livelihood Award em 1993, e vários outros prêmios.
