Martti Oiva Kalevi Ahtisaari é um diplomata e político finlandês, agraciado com o Prémio Nobel.

Foi presidente da Finlândia entre 1994 e 2000. Seu trabalho como mediador em conflitos internacionais valeu-lhe ser galardoado com o Nobel da Paz de 2008.

Ahtisaari desempenhou vários cargos como diplomata e mediador da ONU. Foi negociador de conflitos em algumas das regiões mais conturbadas do mundo, tendo intervindo, entre outros, na transição da Namíbia para a democracia , no grupo de trabalho da conferência internacional para a Bósnia e Herzegovina , na supervisão da deposição de armas do IRA , na negociação do estatuto do Kosovo e nas negociações entre as autoridades indonésias e o movimento de libertação da província de Achém .

Em 2000 recebeu o J. William Fulbright Prize for International Understanding. Ganhou ainda o prémio UNESCO Félix Houphouët-Boigny Peace Prize de 2007 e, em 2008, o Nobel da Paz.
