Haji Mohammad Najib Tun bin Haji Abdul Razak é um político malaio, que foi primeiro-ministro da Malásia entre 2009 e 2018. Ele foi empossado para o cargo em 3 de abril de 2009 para suceder Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Foi presidente da Organização Nacional das Nações Malaias, o principal partido na coalizão governista Barisan Nasional.Najib é o filho mais velho de Abdul Razak Hussein, segundo o primeiro-ministro da Malásia e sobrinho de Hussein Onn, o terceiro governante da Malásia. Ele foi eleito para o Parlamento da Malásia em 1976, com a idade de 23 anos, substituindo seu falecido pai no banco com sede em Pahang. De 1982 a 1986, ele foi o Menteri Besar de Pahang, antes de entrar no gabinete federal Mahathir Mohamad, em 1986, como o Ministro da Cultura, Juventude e Esportes. Ele serviu em vários postos ministeriais durante todo o restante dos anos 1980 e 1990, inclusive como Ministro da Defesa e Ministro da Educação. Ele tornou-se vice-primeiro-ministro em 7 de janeiro de 2004, servindo sob o governo do primeiro-ministro Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, antes de substituir Badawi um ano depois que a Barisan Nasional sofreu pesadas perdas na eleição de 2008.O mandato de Najib como primeiro-ministro tem sido marcada por medidas de liberalização econômica, como cortes de subsídios do governo, o afrouxamento das restrições ao investimento estrangeiro, e reduções de medidas preferenciais para malaios étnicos no negócio. Sua coligação Barisan Nasional foi reeleita na eleição de 2013, embora com uma maioria reduzida devido em grande parte a um movimento substancial de eleitores urbanos aos partidos da oposição.

Nas eleições de 2018, a coligação Barisan Nasional foi derrotada e Najib Razak abandonou o cargo de primeiro-ministro e a liderança do partido.
