Venerável Fulton John Sheen , foi um bispo católico da diocese de Rochester entre 1966 e 1969, sendo sucedido por Joseph Lloyd Hogan. Sua causa de canonização foi aberta em 2002, durante o pontificado do Papa João Paulo II, sendo oficialmente reconhecida pelo Papa Bento XVI em junho de 2012, decretada pela Congregação para as Causas dos Santos, com o título de "venerável", afirmando assim, que o bispo durante a vida, alcançou as chamadas virtudes heróicas.
