Dag Hjalmar Agne Carl Hammarskjöld foi um diplomata, economista e escritor sueco. Foi Secretário-Geral das Nações Unidas de abril de 1953 até sua morte, e membro da Academia Sueca desde 1954. Faleceu perto de Ndola, Rodésia do Norte , numa controversa queda de avião, no desempenho do seu trabalho a serviço da ONU. O presidente John F.
